Ate the Lot...

Possibly finished double page spread... as ever I can't decide if I like it or if its finished..

 The next part of the sam project was to design a double page from the book containing one sentence. The sentence i was given was "ate the lot". I immediately thought of cake and birthday cake. I thought it would be more fun to draw.
I was thinking of fun and interesting ways to work in the text to my illustration.

The latest brief is a children's book. 

The first part was to design the main character. 

The only constraints being it must be called Sam, it must be wearing red converse boots and it must be wearing a particular striped tshirt.

How to... Be Conceited (mark 2)

After a conversation with a tutor about the moustache being hard to read I changed it to a clearer, graphical image.

Small Victories

Final editorial illustration to go with an article about small victories and how many small victories equal one larger victory. I did two versions. I think I prefer the version with graph paper. The plain blue background over powers the image a bit.
