New Facebook Page....

I started a facebook page for my illustrations. I'm not very good at keeping this blog updated and as I spend most of my life on facebook anyway I thought I'd be better at keeping that updated (so far so good). Theres updates on there about recent work Ive done for zizzis in Lincoln and other things coming up.
Check it out HERE

Florence the Machine...

A birthday present for Florence the Machine. Ive had a lot of good feedback from this illustration. might look into doing some more generic ones and do some prints to sell...

Ohh Deer

Submitted my London Pigeons illustration to Ohh Deers pillow fight competition. Soooo much talent on display. A little inspired from having a look around. A lot of people seem to be interested so might look into printing on cushions or maybe tea towel.. hmmmm.....

Website

www.sarahfisher.net

seen as though its all over my business cards I thought I should update my website. Its got more up to date work on it....and it doesnt say I'm 19 anymore...

Exhibition..

So after a stressful few weeks the final year exhibition is finally here. Its strange (and a little unnerving) to think that this is supposed to represent 3 years of work. Having said that, I am proud of my work. Hopefully this is just the beginning...

Pigeons

"There are 4,000 pigeons in Trafalgar square. They all have names.*
*Not all 'facts' have supporting evidence"

For the secret London competition. Ive missed the deadline but I liked the brief so I thought I'd give it a go anyway. I decided to find facts about London but then change them slightly or add a bit that isnt quite so factual.
I haven't tried printing this yet. I'm not sure if all the small text will be readable.

London drawings

I forgot how much I used to enjoy drawing architecture. This is for a competition on london transport... just got to work a way to put it all together...

Kurt Schwitters. He. Thaumatrope.

Kurt Schwitters. He.

Thinking how to make my illustrations for the Merz box project more interesting I made them into a thaumatrope (think spinning disc with a bird and a cage). I made a box for it to go in (but that needs a bit of work).

Negociated project

Deciding what I want to draw for the next few months was a pretty tough decision. I recently started an online roller derby zine called sassqautch with on of my team mates and so decided I would kill two brids with one stone and do some drawings for sassqautch that would also make up my negociated project.
I wanted each drawing to be a funny take on a name of a drill, a common joke, to pick up on of the many quirks of roller derby.
So, my work recently has many been a lot of doodling and working out what I want to do, which ideas work and make sense. They're probably not going to make a whole lot of sense but here are some of my sketches so far...
